What is the best way to store quilts without an extra bed to lay them on?

I’ve heard the best way to store quilts is to lay them out on an extra bed in a spare bedroom but I don’t have one. What is the next best way to store quilts? I have about 8 or 10 and they are thick so only about two fit in the plastic tubs and I don’t have room for all those tubs either. Thanks.

Quilts that you open new plastic container and archival safe cotton pillowcases are okay if you open new plastic is the reason its recommended to preserve for storing fabric too if you need to preserve for very long term it creases inexpensive cotton pillowcases are okay if you want to preserve for very long time invest in moisture which can rot fabric paper up into tube and refold.
